The unfortunate answer to that question is, overwhelmingly, "Nobody cares." (With notable exceptions as pointed out by folks like Darrin.) If you do sign up for Twitter, be careful who you choose to follow and keep in mind that they won't get a notification if you stop following them. I always wonder who actually has time to follow Twitter.
