You probably already know about the videos running under the navigation but I thought I would post an image of it for you:

I am on a Mac, this was Safari, looked the same in Firefox.

Greets All,

Before I tell you about the new web resource, let me first say 2 words.

k, that said, let's get to the good stuff.

Over the last several months I've been recording the meetings on a video level. Screen Capture. I've finally muscled up enough time to produce them
(over Memorial Day Holiday), and they are posted. Here ->

Now, I know its not perfect. it's beta. I welcome comments and feedback. Some of the videos, especially the later 2 with PiP are larger (filesize). I'm working on increasing the quality and lowering the filesize. I'd be interested to know if you like the PiP, ie, you find it helpful, or no. In some cases like Josh Tolley's Fun with SQL it would have been essential, as he does some stuff on a white board, but alas, the camera video proved a
little harder to work with though i will revisit it as time permits.

One of the challenges I face is the screen size. for example in Kevin
Carter's CakePHP where he does a lot of coding, its important to see what it is he is typing. Another side of that challenge is finding the right codec
and codec settings that keep legible what he is typing.

Whew! So all that to say this is a work in progress. I am looking at
streaming video for the presentation but i don't forsee that occuring for another couple of months as bandwidth / throughput are issues that spring up
fast, especially when streaming video at the size we need.

So, enjoy them.

Info i'm looking for (please just reply directly to me and not group):

About playback:
- did it play for you? (the player is flash based, not sure what linux
distros may have issues)
- did it take a long time to buffer?
- any weirdness in the video?

About capture:
- did the PiP help in any way?
- how was the audio?
- recommend a codec?

thx

mj/v
