I like to use dbvisualizer to get an erd for my databases. there is another one that i have heard of called from aquafold that might be pretty good too. Most that I have seen that are really good cost money and are windows based unfortunately. The 2 that i have listed above should be able to run on windows, linux, or mac osx.
