I have people that use Access at work to get data from a MySQL db. I'm not sure that we've run into this read only problem. I'll check on Monday and let you know what I find.

The problem is that with these permissions, there is no way to export the data. Microsoft Access disabled copy-and-pasting or exporting to Excel.
