Hi all, I'm really late in looking for a presenter for this month's meeting. Our meeting day is now one week away, so if you have any interest in presenting something, please let me know.
If you're interested in presenting, but not in a week, we also have an opening for our July meeting in about 5 weeks. On the other hand, if people are all busy and would rather cancel the meeting, we can do that too. I'm open to whatever the group wants to do. Please remember that presenting at UPHPU doesn't require expertise - just tell us about something interesting you've been working on or playing with that you've found interesting, and chances are we'll find it interesting too. If we don't get a presenter, but people don't want to cancel the meeting, I've been tossing around some ideas for some roundtable/panel discussions for sharing information about how different people or companies address similar needs and problems. It would perhaps be interesting to do an "MVC Roundup" discussion where we talk about the different MVC stuff we each use and compare and contrast the things we like or don't like about them. Another possibility would be a discussion about source code control, quality assurance testing, workflow, development methodologies, etc. We also have had a lot of recent presentations at UTOSC 2012 that might be good to bring to a UPHPU meeting, for example a talk you loved and wish others could have seen, or a talk you wanted to see and missed. If there's interest in talking about Agile Scrum, I did a talk on that and could either present that or lead a more open discussion, since we're a smaller group. I'll keep my IRC open all day, if you want to ping me in #uphpu with your feedback, or reply to the list and we'll discuss what people would prefer to do.
