Basic rundown of what I need to have done, and I'm assuming a framework will make this 10x easier to accomplish, so I'm open to hearing opinions on that as well:
Publicly available calendar displays available days for an event. Customer clicks on a day and then they fill out an event registration form with that day selected. Once the form is submitted, a confirmation email is sent to them. Once the confirmation email is responded to, then the following things happen. An email is sent to an event coordinator notifying them of the details, the event is added to the internal calendar for coordinator(s) that with those details, and then a final email is sent to the customer confirming the registration is complete and the day is theirs. I want this to be fairly automatic so that the coordinators don't have to do anything until the day of the event. The system needs to work so that the day/time is reserved for the customer, so two events can't happen on a single day/time. I was considering using either Laravel or CodeIgniter because I have worked the most with those and know them the best, and at least with Laravel I'm sure there's community package just for this sort of thing. _______________________________________________ UPHPU mailing list [email protected] http://uphpu.org/mailman/listinfo/uphpu IRC: #uphpu on irc.freenode.net
