Some have asked why the tickets are so expensive in the first place, when our full price tickets for OpenWest are just $80? At OpenWest, we try to bring the best speakers from the area together to put on an amazing conference, and it really is great. However, we only had 5 speakers that we brought in from out of town, and one of them was fully paid for by his company. With Ski PHP, most of our speakers are from out of town. Only 9 of our 33 speakers are local, the rest are being flown in (from as far away as France). This is an opportunity to hear from some of the great minds in the PHP community. In order to make that happen, our budget for speakers is substantially higher. :) If the price is too high for you, we are in need of volunteers as well.
