A critical piece to this mission involves the role of Lead Software Developer. This role provides technical leadership in the design and development of enterprise applications; writing and communicating technical specs; project management and some people management skills while leading small development teams. We are seeking (Contract/Contract-to-Hire) senior and/or architect level Lead Developers who have at least 1+ years of "Lead" experience leading significantly sized development efforts in a fast paced environment. "Required" skills include: - *JAVA J2EE – must have strong hands-on experience with design and development of enterprise applications, design patterns, etc - Oracle RDBMS – strong database knowledge and SQL skills are preferred - UNIX/Linux – basic knowledge (from a development perspective) and Shell scripting experience - Experienced in code reviews, mentoring, architecture/design reviews, application performance tuning, project management, leadership/management, adherence to coding standards, writing technical specifications, Agile. - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to interface at all levels of an organization. "Preferred" skills include: - PL/SQL with Oracle Forms – hands-on background with PL/SQL programming and Oracle Forms development is a plus - Experience migrating applications from PL/SQL to JAVA is a plus *This is a Contract and/or Contract-to-Hire position and will require background check and drug screen.
