The NC (Department of Transportation(NCDOT) Information Technology
Enterprise Build Services is seeking a short term (6 month maximum)
JBoss/JAVA engineer and administrator to install defined applications in an
enterprise Java application hosting environment. The environment is
currently operational and architected but requires adaptation within an
architectural approval process to accommodate the varying requirements of
the new applications. The environment is built on JBoss Application Server
4.2, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, CAS (Central Authentication Services),
JBoss Web, Apache, Oracle WEBGATE and Oracle APPGATE. The selected candidate
will complete and document the build and work with existing staff to
transfer JBoss, JABA administration competencies.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:*
*Required:*
• Minimum (3) Three years production working experience with JBoss
Application Server and Red Hat Server.
• Expert-level knowledge of JBoss concepts, setup, and administration.
Knowledge of Linux system administration as it pertains to managing JBoss.
• Basic knowledge of J2EE application development for troubleshooting
deployment and operation issues.
• In depth competency in CAS, JBoss Web and Apache.
• Excellent documentation skills (hard copy work sample required if selected
for Interview).
• Demonstrated experience in working within mixed OS environment and large
enterprise team.
• Excellent verbal communication skills (written and oral).
Preferred:
Experience working in a DOT type environment including knowledge of NCID.
