DO NOT SEND SYSTEM or SOFTWARE BA candidates!!!!!* The need: there is a group that is responsible for converting all of the existing fund and accounting information from CPort (legacy system) to MCH (multi-currency Horizon). *THIS IS A BUSINESS SIDE ROLE, THEY WANT SOMEONE A BUSINESS BA with ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE . DO NOT SEND SYSTEM or SOFTWARE BA candidates!!!!!* This is a large team of 250 resources working on conversions. This group has 2 existing people right now and he has a need for a contractor immediately and may also have an opening for a full time person. The candidate must be able to work in Andover primarily but also be able to travel to quincy, milton, westwood when required once the conversions start so they can be the onsite business resource working with the technical team. They will be involved in writing business test plans, business UAT etc and will be the front line. They are on a tight schedule for a 60 day business test and then 9-11 month roll out. *Who we are looking for:* *We need an EX person who was a "senior staffer" or someone in a management role or close to management role. We are looking for a front office person, someone that understands accounting, a "conversion specialist" or "business side analyst". *they will probably come out of the Investment or Investor Services team or the Institutional Investment Services area. You might find them at Evergreen, MetLife or PIMCO but prefer former and MUST have MCH directly, not just someone who has heard of it. *the person will not be a systems person but they will know how to use MACROS and which ones to use and for what as they relate to MCH. They will also know their way around ACCESS, not an expert but someone who can use Access to get the info they need. *They will know "how to do futures and options" (done using DWS derivatives work station). *they will know how Navigator and NAV Alert work with MCH *if they are excellent they will know what eHorizons is and OTC hubs-swaps *MCH:* Multi Currency Horizon is a real time multi-currency accounting system used by Fund Accountants to oversee the management and operational functioning of portfolios including money market, fixed income, alternative strategies, equity, international, and emerging markets portfolios. It replaced the traditional batch-oriented single current accounting system (CPort). t allows them to accurately anticipate and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have plenty of intimate hands on knowledge of MCH and business systems knowledge to be a critical team member as they convert from CPort to MCH. A senior with 3+ years MCH experience is good start (see below for description). Macros (Visual Basic) and Access even better. Skills: This person must have prior experience in the Mutual Fund Industry and specific experience with MCH required. developing functional specifications per the business unit needs. The ideal candidate would have 3 to 5 years of experience and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. A bachelor's degree is required. This person must be able to work independently, manage their time and deliverables effectively, multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment. Create business test plans and UAT. be able to use Microsoft Access to extract information and also be able to use MACROS and tell you which ones they use. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Enthusiastic, Demonstrates initiative, Completes work according to schedules.
