*THIS IS A VERY URGENT NEED. IT IS A REPLACEMENT FOR A CONSULTANT OF OURS. IT'S A LONG TERM CONTRACT. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LOCAL TO BOSTON, MA, THAT HAS FINANCIAL EXPERINECE AND CAN INTERVIEW AND START IMMEDIATELY. RATE IS $45/HR for this on a CORP to CORP. DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: * PMO team supporting the Basel compliance initiative at is seeking a Business/Data Analyst for the Boston location. *MUST HAVE COGNOS OR OPEN PAGES EXPERIENCE.* THE NEED: this need comes from the Business side. They need a candidate with *strong Cognos report writing skills *and if they have experience with Open Pages that would be the perfect match but they don't HAVE to have the Open Pages. The COGNOS is the key piece here because they are going to be designing and pulling reports based on data that is already mapped in Open Pages. So someone with both is going to be the exact fit. The data is focused on operational risk workflow and operational risk losses but he doesn't care if they have the specific risk experience. He wants someone who has worked doing cognos report writing and development in a financial company however. The resource will be looking at the data and generating reports integrated reports from Open Pages. They should have strong SQL skills because they will basically be expected to work on their own on extracting the appropriate data, interacting with the business sponsors, and being able to essentially understand what reports they need, where to get the data from and how to extract and deliver the reports with minimal supervision. Communication skills will be highly important Complete Description: . Directs the gathering of business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings, interviewing users, and researching and resolving issues. . Makes judgments on gathered analysis information, using flowcharting and other methodologies. May be consulted in the analysis of user interface design efforts. . Leads the analysis of current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes; consults as subject matter expert on impact of systems changes to business processes. . Leads and reviews draft detailed requirements and related documentation. . Serves as advocate for business area regarding system needs and requests with various groups. . Monitors project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation.
