*JOB DESCRIPTION: *
Back End Web Developer Skill Requirements
Assist with the development and enhancement of the corporate Intranet and
Internet sites. Works cross-functionally across the organization,
collaborates closely with developers and usability designers to create
functional, high-impact Web pages and to develop, maintain and edit
functionality of both the Internet and Intranet sites.
*JOB DUTIES*
• Provide technical expertise to front end developers to edit, develop,
enhance and maintain both the corporate Internet and Intranet
• Assist with the design and development of Web site functionality to
improve/edit existing functionality
• Develop, maintain, support Web site connectivity and communications
interfaces as required to support end users
• Based on direction from management, learns and implements new technologies
• Program special applications, configurations and form scripts utilizing
Web related programming languages, HTML/DHTML, Java and JavaScript, J2EE,
WSAD, Web sphere, GlassFish, etc.
• Keeps abreast of the latest technologies for the Web
• Attends Web site related meetings as assigned along with weekly Team
meetings
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: *
Knowledge of:
• Basic knowledge of technical support, server management and the ability to
merge code is necessary
• Interwoven source control (or other version control system)
• An understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility and
limitation issues

*Technical Skills:*
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Java and JavaScript, STRUTS, J2EE, WSAD,
Web sphere and GlassFish are expected
• Assist with Web site connectivity and communications interfaces
• Familiarity with Social Networking connectivity/implementation
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
