*Infrastructure Operations Support:*

Responsible for operating and monitoring of Client's production applications
in a client server environment according to defined schedules and
procedures.

Operates and monitors computer equipment, performing tasks and running
applications as per defined schedules and procedures.

Performs first level of hardware and software trouble shooting within the
data center and makes necessary contacts following standard operating
procedures.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks. Makes
decisions regarding procedures, use of equipment and timing of work.



1. Performs varied and moderately complex business processing, customer
service, or administrative work that requires experience and specific
training.

2. Executes, monitors and tracks completion of TWS production schedules,
jobs, and tasks. Modifies, alters, and/or adapts existing procedures to meet
changing conditions.

3. Makes decisions, corrective or preventative, regarding procedures, use of
equipment and timing of work. Resolves complex and non-recurring problems.

4. Interacts with system users, answering questions and responding to
special requests. Assists in resolving operational problems with customers
using department notification, escalation, tracking, and reporting
procedures. Coordinates proposed solutions with support personnel.

5. Enters shift incidents and events into operations log database, completes
shift turnover checklist and reviews status with team members during daily
shift turnover. Enters problem incidents and events into HelpStar problem
tracking application.

6. Performs tape media management activities.

7. Maintain accurate operational documentation and procedures



*Experience/Skills:*

3+ years of experience in computer operations or in a related field

Understanding of client server technology

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and work well in a team
environment

Good communication skills, written and oral

Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime,
if necessary to meet business requirements.

Requires lifting and moving of printer paper from store room into printer
room and loading and unloading printer output from the printer and moving
output to distribution pickup area

Exhibits diplomacy and discretion in dealing with others using Client's
social contract principles

May be required to work unsupervised

Proper attendance as per assigned shift schedule

MS Word - experienced

Tivoli Workload Scheduler - experienced

Associate degree or certificate from technical school in information
technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and
experience



* *

*Specific technology skills sets:*  Familiarity with TWS is a plus.  Good
working knowledge of Client/Server environments.  Client environment is
mostly a windows environment but, they do have a few UNIX backup servers.
Also, familiarity with HP Openview for Windows is a plus.



12 hour a day for 3 days in a week:  6:30pm to 7am.  The days will rotate
throughout each week and does require one weekend day every other week.
However, initially the candidate will work 5 days a week (m-f) on eight hour
shifts (6:30pm to 3:00pm).  This usually lasts for about 2 months until
training is completed.


Interview Format - initial phone interview, then one to two face to face.
