To provide development support services for BO upgrade project to achieve simplified, timely delivery of the following: To design and build programs utilizing BO XI R3 tool Setup, execute, and test the assigned programs utilizing BO XI R3 Webi and DeskI tools. Migrate, upgrade and test the Business Object XI R3 content/environment Setup, execute and test the BO and AD integration BO XI R2 Data integrator integration BO Xcelsius based dashboard reporting *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * To design and build programs utilizing BO XI R3 tool Setup, execute, and test the assigned programs utilizing BO XI R3 Webi and DeskI tools. Migrate, upgrade and test the Business Object XI R3 content/environment Setup, execute and test the BO and AD integration Execute the Upgrade in Dev/Test/Production environment Document the upgrade process and procedures Migrate the Security profiles Assist to integrate BO with external LDAP or AD for security integration Must be a self starter and troubleshoot issues to resolution Expertise in developing reports of varying complexity, including master-detail and drill-down/drill-through reports Provide operating system performance tuning, problem diagnosis and problem resolution. Perform user and group account administration. Develop shell scripts in support of system administration. Perform system startups and shutdowns. Provide memory and process management and job scheduling. Perform system troubleshooting. Provide installation, upgrade and maintenance of server hardware components, as requested. Must be able to **tune** the reporting environment to match scalability of business needs *Requirements- * The software engineer supplement/supports BO Upgrade project team in efforts to migrate Business Objects 6.5 environment/content to BO XI R3. This person also configures the BO XI R3 environment, BO/AD integration and tests the upgrade content. Some of the major responsibilities include: Administration and Development experience in both of Business Objects Enterprise XI. Experience in various Business Objects Applications like Web Intelligence, Info View, Desktop Intelligence, Designer, CMC (Central Management Console), Supervisor, CCM (Central Configuration Manager), Import Wizard, Report Conversion Tool, Security Viewer, Crystal Xcelsius, and Dashboards. Migration of Business Objects 6.5 to Business Objects XI R3 Enterprise . Migration of the Content (User, Groups, Universes and Reports etc). Experience with Import Wizard and BIAR files applying Business Objects Best Practices. Conversion Desktop Reports to Web Intelligence using Report Conversion Tool. Creating Universes/Reports using Full Clients and Web Intelligence with various back end sources like Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access and Excel.
