Superior communication and presentation skills. *Job Description:* Enterprise Services Company delivers one of the industry’s broadest portfolios of infrastructure technology, applications and business process outsourcing services is currently seeking to staff a Network Security Engineer position for the FDA account (detailed description below). The duration of this engagement is potentially for the term of the current contract (~ 4 years). They will be working in the Fairfax VA or Rockville VA area and will be required to travel to Ashburn, VA on occasion. Description of Role: The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise networks and related hardware/software. The candidate will assist in the design and implementation of a highly robust and fault tolerant systems/network architecture. This position will handle a variety of responsibilities including: configuring, monitoring and maintaining Network environment. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible hours. On-call and after hours support is a requirement of this position. Additional job requirements include: * Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems. * Performing and coordinating effective installation and performance of advanced network system hardware and software on servers. * Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems. * Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT. * Maintain, monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations for system improvements * Available for after hours / on-call support. *Required Skills:* Establishing security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters and provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. * Implement communications technologies (data only).
