Systems Administrator to maintain and monitor multiple servers and the
applications running on the servers. Responsibilities cover operating
system support (Linux) and management of AAA application software for
carrier-grade Wifi networks.  This position is responsible for providing
24/7 Linux and application support on a rotating basis. The applicant must
have strong communication skills and a vast knowledge in system
troubleshooting and support.





*Position Responsibilities:*



   - Support of Wifi AAA environment.
   - Responsible for systems analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
   - Infrastructure includes operating systems (Linux) and a mix of Open
   Source software and proprietary software.
   - Conducts design reviews, controls production, and implements and
   monitors systems.
   - Develop scripts for automating routine tasks.
   - Monitor servers and applications for errors and performance problems.
   - Coordinate with other internal groups to coordinate backups, event
   monitoring, and other services.
   - Apply updates, enhancements, and configuration changes to the Wifi AAA
   platform to meet business requirements.
   - Assist troubleshooting and development efforts for partners in the
   Wifi environment.



*Qualifications:*



   - BS or AS degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science
   or related discipline and generally 2-5 years of experience in a related
   field OR MS and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field
   equivalent experience.  Will consider work experience in lieu of degree.
   - Linux and/or Solaris skills (4-6 years systems administration).
   - Experience in a multi-tiered, distributed and diverse infrastructure a
   must
   - Must have experience in highly available, large-scale service provider
   environments.
   - Experience supporting enterprise applications, such as DNS/BIND
   servers, Web farms, or database farms.
   - System level programming in Shell/Perl scripting (1-3 years)
   - Fundamental networking skills and basic network troubleshooting skills
   (1-3 years).
   - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
   - Ability to work with minimal direction, yet able to work in a team
   environment.
   - A high level of experience in systems and network problem solving.
   - Advanced knowledge of OS troubleshooting, kernel tweaking and system
   automation.
