Our client currently seeks a Quality Assurance Analyst (Data Scrubbing) to join our team in Illinois.
Qualifications:
Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst with a background in evaluating, scrubbing and maintaining testing datasets used by application development and independent testing teams for functional, regression and integration testing. The preferred candidate will be responsible for assuring the integrity of test environments supporting the software development of internet applications. The person selected will assist with troubleshooting and resolution of problems within the test environment including the root cause analysis. The position requires an individual with exceptional communications skills
(verbal and written), flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work atmosphere, and prior experience as a q/a test analyst focused on data integrity. Critical thinking and strong problem resolution skills are essential to support the testing environments and provide for their stability to support the organizational goals.
Skill & Proficiency Needs include:
· IBM Mainframe (HOST) experience. Individual must be comfortable working in a mainframe system including but not limited to: system access (login) and tools (STRUCISS, Basic scripting and JCL)
· Knowledge of of application coding logic - no specific language is required, however a familiarity with standard logic is needed and client will provide instruction for specific coding techniques.
· Basic data knowledge including a familiarity with DB2 databases/tables & basic concepts to understand basic data principals for evaluating and manipulating data.
· An attention to detail to evaluate data, determine defects/errors and implement corrections, and an ability to independently complete root cause analysis.
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Access to browse data elements for research and resolution.
· Internet/Intranet experience for use with Software Impact Analysis tool (SIA)
· IBM Optim Tool
· TRAC to open and track defects.
Other Desired Skills:
1) Testing experience within integrated project teams governed by standardized processes and procedures.
2) Prior experience working with a multi-platform test environment management.
3) Proficient with test center information management tools
4) Proficient with HP Service Manager - incident, request, change, and problem
