*Job Title: Lead Mainframe Developer* *Location: New York, NY (Need Locals)* *Duration : 8+ Months* *Required Skills:* BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a technology related field or other degree preferred. Basic familiarity with Mainframe systems and IBM z/OS internals. 6-8 years of hands-on development expertise using COBOL/CICS/JCL on MVS/VSAM based Mainframe systems. Exceptional written communication, oral presentation, and leadership skills. Ability to develop business requirements and estimate for delivery commitments. Experience with TSO/ISPF, WebConnect, VTAM/SNA and RACF security. Experience in workload processing and system performance metrics. Familiarity with at least one relational database management system (MS-SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/DB2). Familiarity with Microsoft Client/Server and Web-based application development. Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills. Willingness to learn new technologies in order to perform tasks at hand. Proficiency with Waterfall, RUP and Agile SDLC processes. Team player who can establish excellent working relationships with peers and other teams. Utilize application development environments, tools and methodologies across multiple platforms. Experience using Microsoft Office Applications. *Desirable Skills* Technically proficient in more than one language and platform. Experience in ADABAS/Natural legacy Mainframe systems. Development knowledge on Microsoft .NET or OpenSource technologies. Expertise and knowledge of building large-scale asset management systems. Experience with version control and release management principles.
