*Job Title: Test Specialist* *Location: New Orleans, LA* *Duration : 160 hours Possibility of extension* *The following are the major areas of work (ignoring Quicktime, CLM, non-webTA).* I provide functional testing scripts using Rational Functional Tester to perform regression/sanity testing of WebTA. I provide "utility" scripts. These use Rational Functional Tester to populate customer data, migrate customers from one T&A product to another, and populate training instances every 2 weeks for customer training. Execute performance tests using Rational Performance Tester to: Validate behavior of new webTA releases/patches (ensure behavior matches what Kronos reports) Analyze behavior of the application in our test and production environments. Make recommendations to IBC releated to hardware, OS, GC parameters, databases, etc to "tune" behavior so it is faster and more reliable. Monitor actual customer responses to provide early detection of issues. There are other little things I do (provide JIRA tickets to report issues to Kronos, etc) that would be a normal support activity. Ability to use performance test tools (strongly recommend RPT or Loadrunner). I can support RPT questions better. Java knowledge - webTA strongly dependent on that. I do not believe the person has to be a Tomcat expert. Pretty easy to learn quickly what is required. Of course, Tomcat knowledge would be a plus. Oracle knowledge. Even if NFC has DB resources, the individual we supply should be able to understand the implications associated with the changes. They may need to be able to discus the issue associated this validation operation.
