Location: Buffalo, NY *** Must have HP Suite of Test Tool experience and proficiency. Specifically, ALM, Quick Test Pro and LoadRunner.* Individual to lead and plot out the QA Test Automation plan for a Software QA organization. Would prefer to identify someone to convert to FTE. Otherwise would consider long term contract assignment. Position Summary: The QA Automation Test Lead is responsible for the design, planning, and creation of automated functional and performance tests. The Test Automation Engineer II will possess the necessary skills and experience to architect and develop and define test development needs and procedures. Primary Job Duties: Creates, maintains and executes Automated Functional Test Plans, Automated Functional Test Scripts, and Performance Test Scripts. Creates reusable, modular test scripts. Creates test strategies and schedules relevant to automated test creation and execution. Documents and interprets results for business process flows for generation of automated test scripts. Debugs issues that arise. Analyzes application design for suitability of automated testing. Recommends changes to facilitate test automation. Documents, and implements best practices in automated testing to encourage well-documented and reproducible testing results. Involved with the continual improvement of automation processes to provide improved quality assurance and reduction in testing cycle time. Defines and implements standards to satisfy the retention, cataloging and execution requirements for the automated regression test suites. Builds automated regression test suite using automated scripts.
