The details are as follows: Number of Openings 1 Duration of Hiring 6-9 months Skill Production Support. - Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, SQL, Perl, Batch Years of experience 6+ Years Offshore/Onsite Onsite *Must Have Skills:* - 1-2 years of relevant application support experience - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, SQL, Perl, Batch - Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills - 3+ years in Windows and Linux administration - Previous exposure with any or all of the following technologies is preferred: - .NET, Microsoft IIS, Apache Web Server, Tomcat, jBoss, Windows Server, Linux and/or various types of Unix *Responsibilities:* - Work in a team atmosphere to categorize, prioritize and assist other Administrators – this includes multiple teams with multiple levels - Assist with building new application components and planning production cutover and release activities - Coordinate with data center operations, system & network administrators, test and development groups to provide highly available IT applications for both internal users and DIRECTV customers. - Participate in on-call rotations in a 24/7 atmosphere - Handle production and test issue escalations - Maintain proactive monitoring to ensure 99.999% availability on mission critical IT applications for both internal and external DIRECTV customers - Participate in Project Team meeting sessions and provide task level detail feedback to the Project Manager or Project Lead - Drive project timelines and ensure that team meets project deadlines - Assist with Production and Test release support - Ensure resource availability for off-hours support as needed · Work in an on-call rotation to support a 24x7 environment Other skills Media Domain Knowledge will be added advantage.
