Business Analyst Job Description(CPBA)



·         . BA to work with subject-matter experts, or SMEs, and key
project stakeholders to understand business needs and define objectives and
requirements.

·         . BA to work with SMEs and system architects to define the
specifications for an application and communicate them to the system
architects who build the application. They write clear, concise
specifications that accurately reflect business needs to system architects.

·         . Throughout an implementation, BA to work with system architects
to ensure that the application properly addresses the business needs.

·         . BA to first review the current state of a business process
(AS-IS) to identify inefficiencies. They then design the TO-BE processes,
look for opportunities to improve the process, often by automating
reproducible actions.

·         . BA should be comfortable with AGILE methodology. Responsible
for user story creation, ensure completion of review of user stories by
product owner and other key stakeholders.

·         . BA should be able to actively contribute to developing portions
of the application itself - designing workflows, creating UI wireframes,
automating business policies, designing reports, and creating
correspondence templates.

·         . Responsible for maintain a repository of knowledge management
documents like data mapping sheets, process flows, business rules,
correspondence triggers etc.

·         . A business architect also contributes their analytical skill
and business expertise during the development effort to identify project
risks and benefits, and communicate with project sponsors and stakeholders.

·         . Participation in Show and Tell sessions (usually conducted by
testing

·         team) to ensure test cases are aligned to test the requirements
and the expected result of such test cases are accurately defined.

·         . Responsible for conducting and leading requirement capturing
sessions with the client and LSA.
