*Company: AlphaBroder* *Location: Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053* *6 month contract * *JOB DESCRIPTION:* *Position Title: Webmaster Manager * · This position is responsible for design, maintenance and development of alphabroder’s Web applications, specifically focused on development and performance of our corporate site www.alphabroder.com. Also, responsible development and maintenance of the company’s intranet sites. · Major activities, which must be performed in order to carry out the purpose of the position as described above: · Design and develop dynamic web applications mainly utilizing Progress WebSpeed as a database and programming language. Enhance existing application or implement new solutions into existing applications. · Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support the organization's web applications utilizing departmental development standards · Writing supporting code including JavaScript, Perl, XML, and Cascading Style Sheets to facilitate website functionality. · Manage WebSpeed Brokers, Locked Agents, Review Log Files and Startup scripts. · Supporting role in maintenance of IBM HTTP Server (IHS) Apache 2.0 WebServer on AIX 6.X operating system, including log file maintenance and analysis, http configuration, scripting, application deployment, and security auditing. · Utilize Project Management Tool (Project Tracker) to keep the status up-to-date, list detailed information including database changes, data setup, test scenarios, programs changed and instructions that were taken to complete a project. · Work closely with External Vendors in implementing and integrating 3rd Party Software Applications with company’s web applications. · Supporting Role in maintenance of company domains and DNS records, including purchase new domains and renew existing ones. · Proactively monitor web applications performance utilizing tools such as Gomez Networks. Set up new performance tests and alerts based on requirements, keeping uptime of web applications as to close 100% · Maintenance of analytics tagging (Coremetrics, Google Analytics) and various add-on web utilities (EasyAsk etc.). · Take extra measurements in the deployment of utilities to keep web applications and other systems free from intruders, spammers. · Proactively take part in strategic initiatives as relates to web applications development by developing proto-types for future possible launches. Turn a concept into a complete functional web application. · Maintain changes in the Roundtable Source Code Control Management Software. · Maintain a cooperative relationship with various departments not limited to IT, Marketing, Operations, Web Support · Provide reports and analysis to managers. This includes but not limited to web performance metrics, competitive analysis, statictical data. · Remain current with new technologies, concepts, development methodologies and tools as related to website development, mobile device applications, etc. · Provide off hours support to complete a planned work or resolve issues when emergencies arise. *QUALIFICATIONS:* Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this position. Identify specific concepts, courses, training programs or required certifications. · MUST have 10+ years of related experience programming with the Progress, WebSpeed and very strong 4GL (ABL) skills. · Proficiency and In-depth knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets. · Working knowledge of AJAX and Apache Web Server. IBM HTTP Server a plus. · Experience with Web Design Tools such as Dreamweaver, HomeSite, Flash a plus. · Experience in Source Code Control Management Software such as RoundTable. · Demonstrated ability to create complex web sites based on WebSpeed and custom preprocessor templates as well as interface with other Programming Languages. · Understanding of reusable code, separation of user interface and business logic, documentation, and structured development concepts. · Strong Unix knowledge and experience with ability to write new or alter existing scripts · Strong analytical skills. · Ability to adapt to any related software packages. · Knowledge and experience with Windows OS (XP) and Unix Flavor’s such as AIX · Ability to participate in Research & Development, looking into new tools and techniques · Experience in mobile device applications development a plus. · Development Team Leadership experience is not required, a plus · Familiarity with Mac, Safari browser useful. · Enthusiastic, self-starter, professional, attention to detail and results oriented. · General business acumen with demonstrated ability to understand business needs and recommend improvements.
