*IT Lead Systems Architect* *Location: Charlotte, NC Salary : DOE* IT Lead Systems Architect – should have 5-7 experience in Insurance exp: Senior technical leader responsible for designing and implementing information systems which will adequately support the business needs of the organization. Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will offer functionality, performance & security and will be effectively integrated with current applications. Ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to application development department regarding new technologies and system requirements. Has thorough knowledge of infrastructure, application programming, and web and software applications. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 5-7 years of experience in the insurance industry or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, patterns and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. *Key Functions:-* Assists the CTO in setting the overall direction, architectures, policies and guidelines for clients application, data and integration technology adoption and management. Ensures that the appropriate technical standards, procedures and governance are defined and followed. Ensures solutions are scalable and adoptable according to changing business needs. Promotion and delivery of applications to reduce costs and improve information flows. Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and align with IT and business strategies. Develops a roadmap and phased plan that gradually increases/improves the enterprise application architecture maturity level while producing value to the business. Responsible for designing and maintaining complete systems architectures while also providing guidance and governance to enterprise-level projects ensuring optimal results. Defines requirements for partners and manages in house development to ensure that proposed and existing architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Defines and manages the overall integration and data architecture including the establishment and certification of data flows, data access layers and data models that meet business needs, are performant and grow with the organization’s needs. Maintains a close working relationship with executives and business management to understand strategy and requirements. Consults with clients, senior management and vendors to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development as they relate to integration, applications and data structures. *Requirements*:- BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
