*Position:- Vulnerability Management Lead Engineer* *Duration:- 6+ month Contract* *Location:- Marlborough, MA* *MOI:- Telephonic + Skype* · This person will be responsible for owning the *Qualys* implementation *Minimum Requirements: * *Keys to the Position:* · The candidate must have demonstrated experience and success at leading a vulnerability scanning/management implementation. *This includes the following:* *Extensive experience with vulnerability scanning tools - Qualys is required*. Other tools including Nessus, Rapid7, and Oval would be considered a plus. · Ability to automate the categorization of assets, create targeted reports, and create executive summaries from the scanner data to adequately provide updates on the status of the Vulnerability Management program. · Experience integrating a vulnerability management toolset with outside sources of information such as a ServiceNow CMDB as well as other tools for collecting and reporting on data. · The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and an ability to work closely with other technical teams to assist with the remediation of identified vulnerabilities. · Must be able to quickly and correctly assess the potential impact of vulnerabilities to our environment as identified via various intelligence feeds and other sources of information, utilizing industry standard vulnerability scoring systems as a starting point. · Ability to make decisions and take ownership of the Vulnerability Management implementation, including experience working with and presenting to senior management. *Description:* · The Vulnerability Management Lead Engineer will have primary responsibility for the implementation, configuration, maintenance and support of our vulnerability management scanning tool (currently Qualys). The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of this platform and have the ability to configure the tool to be able to collect and extract the data and reports required to provide information to various infrastructure teams regarding vulnerabilities, as well as to senior management on the status of the program. · Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience assessing the potential impact of newly announced vulnerabilities, determining the appropriate course of action to mitigate the potential risk, and communicate those actions to the impacted teams.
