While sending resume please include contact information and Rate. *Manual Tester* *Location: Grand Rapids, MI* *Duration: 6+ months* *Rate: $35/hr C2C* · 5+ years of QA · Strong Manual Tester · Mobile testing experience · Cross browser testing · JIRA · Agile · Skilled at testing Java based applications · UNIX/Linux · SQL Individuals in the Software Tester role are responsible for validating the product against the requirements specification and performing exploratory testing in accordance with the defined strategy and process. They are also responsible for ensuring the quality of the testing artifacts generated during their testing activities and the traceability of those artifacts to related artifacts. The Software Tester must perform the detailed responsibilities listed below. *Essential Duties:* ● Provide timely updates to the Team Lead and Project Manager on the of status of testing activities in Agile/Scrum environment ● Conduct testing in accordance with the documentation for: ○ Master Test Plans ○ Test Design Specifications ○ Test Procedure Specifications ○ Test Case catalogs where applicable ○ Test Case Specifications ● Analyze user stories in current development cycle, determining the scope and estimates for tasks related to enhancements or issues that need to be resolved and work with Business Analyst to clarify requirements when necessary ● Develop test cases following the prescribed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in order to test programs or scripts according to design specifications, established coding practices, and performance requirements ● Participate in peer review of Test Case Specifications ● Document defects using JIRA according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and collaborate with developers for defect analysis and fact finding as needed ● Maintain testing infrastructure (e.g. mocks, test data, configuration) where applicable. ● Participate in regression testing and Production Readiness validation of Release Candidate versions on all platforms: web, tablet, and mobile *Required Skills/Experience* ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required ● One to five years’ experience within Information Technology (development and/or quality control roles preferred), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience ● Skilled with JIRA and/or Confluence ● Java, SQL, and Unix ● Experience with Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM’s) ● Knowledge of Cross Browser Testing ● Previous experience working in an Agile environment ● Strong commitment to software quality ● Working knowledge of software quality assurance and business analysis processes ● Proven analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills ● Solid customer focus, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and relationship building ● Strong verbal and writing skills ● Effective time management, organization, and communication skills *Preferred Skills/Experience (Any of these is a plus)* ● Experience working on web-based applications using HTML5, CSS, ● Mobile testing – strongly preferred Thanks & Regards Annie Green Edgesys Consulting 411 Route 17 South, Suite 310 Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 Office: 609- 619-5523 F: 312-884-7945 E-mail: an...@edgesys.com Web: www.edgesys.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
