If you have a matching profile, please send me the updated resume along with contact details at the earliest. *Job Title* DBA Engineer *Project Location* Livingston NJ *Duration* 6 months /Contract * Skills Required and Job Description:* MOI::Telephonic followed by Face to Face job description: dba engineer (sql server and oracle) will be responsible for the r&d of new sql server and oracle technologies/processes as well as operational day-to-day support of cit s sql server and oracle environments. they will be required to work closely with cit s server engineering, storage management, security and audit/compliance teams as well as external auditors. principal duties & responsibilities: r&d for new sql server and oracle technologies (to include db - monitoring, dr, ha and backup) deployment and support of critical sql server and oracle databases in a vmware environment planning, documentation and execution of industry standard performance tests (tpc) automation of standard operational processes. support of audits database monitoring database backups capacity planning performance analysis, tuning and optimization support of standard server/o.s. maintenance. support of new application database deployments. required skills and experience: 10 years of sql server dba experience minimum 5 years of oracle dba experience on unix minimum performance and quality driven. strong communication skills (experienced in putting together technical documents) extensive background in designing, administering and hands on support of large scale oltp|olap database solutions. exposure to supporting sql server analysis services (ssas), sql server integration services (ssis) and sql server reporting services (ssrs). comprehensive experience utilizing vmware technologies in the deployment of mission critical database environments. experienced in designing and deploying ha and dr solutions using vmware technologies. sql programming tsql programming pl/sql programming powershell programming unix ksh shell programming.
