Job Functions & Responsibilities: · Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management. · Program customized data displays (including data listings, summary tables and routine graphics) in accordance with approved Statistical Analysis Plan and shell displays for clinical research studies. Code is to be written using Base SAS programs, SAS procedures, and/or other standardized macros. · Create SAS datasets of clinical data from clinical databases; create status and efficacy datasets; create project specific macros and formats; load client data from other platforms and other software packages; prepare data to be sent to clients. · Perform QC/validation of datasets, tables, listings, figures to verify the output. Create and maintain standard QC documentation. · Prepare documentation describing all datasets and variables within, including derived variables, and the project as a whole. · Perform data checks as needed, to ensure integrity and correctness of data displays. Prepare documentation for programs. · Review clinical data for outliers, invalid and illogical data points and communicate issues to Data Management as necessary. · Act as lead programmer for projects. Attend client and team meetings. · Assist in establishing departmental processes, interaction with other departments, training of staff and other departmental administrative tasks. Direct and/or mentor junior programmers · Some travel required for meetings. Experience and Skills Required: · 5+ year’s Statistical SAS programming in a clinical research environment · Proficiency in SAS or equivalent programming language · Hands-on experience with CDISC/SDTM/ADaM programming · 1+ year experience in using models to generate p-value or other inferential statistics. No ability to choose or create statistical models is required. · Must have knowledge of SDTM model and experience creating and/or using SDTM datasets. · Must be able to work in a fast-paced UNIX based environment (UltraEdit and SAS Enterprise Guide are available as interface to UNIX). · Experience with using, debugging and modifying standard company macros.
