1) *Title: Information Architect* *Location**: Hartford CT* The person will be responsible for understanding the data and business requirements, and modeling data marts for wide variety of use cases. The design is not going to be on traditional RDBMS but on Hadoop platform. The person will be responsible for creating efficient data models that balance the analytics objectives with performance objectives. *Mandatory Skills:* • Experience in relational and dimension modeling. Must have designed numerous data warehouses and OLTP systems • Knowledge in various Normalization rules. • Experience in Business Intelligence projects • Experience interfacting with business customers in taking conceptual understanding and translating into data models. • Must have worked with one of the major relational databases. • Have understanding of ETL applications and tools • Good written and verbal communication skills to influence decisions. • Exposure to Tableau or any other BI dashboard tool. Optional Skills: • Architecting data models in Hadoop • Experience in NoSQL databases • Insurance/financial services industry knowledge *2)* *Title: Hadoop Architect* *Location**: Hartford CT* This individual would be working with technical leads in designing the data pipelines on Hadoop. They have to have good understanding of Hadoop ecosystem, SQL and NoSQL databases, ability to recommend appropriate tools. They would be designing the ETL process on Hadoop platform. The person has to help in help identify solutions to data problems. *Mandatory skills:* • Knowledge in Hadoop architecture- HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn • Knowledge in NoSQL concepts and databases • Knowledge in Hadoop ecosystem tools like Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume • Able to design and recommend various tools and components to build a data pipeline for data engineering. *Optional Skills* • Knowledge in implementing predictive modeling • Hands on experience in one of the NoSQL database • Hands on experience in SQL, Java or Scala, Python • Exposure to one of the major Hadoop distribution (Cloudera, Horton Works) • Exposure to Tableau and MPP databases like Netezza. 3) We need one Data Engineer for Hartford CT *Title: Data Engineer* *Location: Hartford CT* • Demonstrated experience in Data Integration & Data Warehousing projects. • Demonstrated experience of ETL methodologies preferably IBM Data stage 8.5 or above. • Knowledge of production support processes & scheduling tools (Zeke or Control-M). • Solid scripting skills in Apache Hive & Apache Pig. • Good understanding of SAS ETL & Macros. • Good knowledge of Hadoop echo system & parallel processing techniques.
