Main responsibility will be in development of Java web applications. The web based application architectures include web applications, web services, and database operations. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction. Applicant must provide technical guidance to other software engineers in completing tasks. Candidate must be familiar with Agile Software Development methodologies. Basic Qualifications Development skills on J2EE Technologies, EJB 3.0, JavaScript, and Subversion. Experience with installation of COTs products and development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services. Requires experience in the following areas: Eclipse, Widlfly (Previously known as JBOSS), Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, JAAS, hibernate ORM, JDBC, Oracle, SQL, Subversion, Linux, HTML5, JSF, CSS3,SOA, Spring Framework 2.5 (including Spring MVC), iText Framework, POI Framework, XMLBeans, regular expressions, XML, Java 1.7, Java IO processing, SchemaSpy, continuous integration and inspection using SonarQube and Jenkins, Java test automation experience with JMockit mocking and testing toolkit. Ensures conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system. Advanced experience in Service identification activities in the modeling of a service-oriented solution including service taxonomy, service layer. Advanced experience in integrating existing services and business analysis using SOA principles. Software development tool and server system administration, process improvement, design review, and code review. Desired skillsWSAD, XML, Web Services, Apache Axis, Web application integration with Web Services, and Web application design. Candidate should be familiar with single sign on technologies. Measuring and recording performance metrics, and recommending and ensuring adherence to performance standards. Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies with emphasis on FOSS (free and Open-Source software). Experience working as a federal contractor, prior experience working on HHS or SSA systems is a big plus. Typical Minimums Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
