Senior .NET Developer - South Plainfield, NJ Duties and Responsibilities * Be part of a small collaborative team in designing and developing scalable and distributed applications * Develop features and services across various application subsystems within our solution. * Collaborate in requirements definition, design, prototyping, coding, testing and deployment. * Follow established software development standards and best practices. * Leverage Agile software development practices and techniques. * Provide expertise to IT/Operations and QA teams on advanced application troubleshooting and debugging. * Collaborate with IT/Operations to define deployment plans based on business requirements. * Lead a collaborative Education * Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or computer engineering; Masters in computer science preferred Desired Skills and Experience * 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, demonstrated success developing a variety of software application while taking on additional responsibility in the design, development and deployment of the solution. * Proficient in designing and developing commercial grade enterprise solutions utilizing DOTNET 4.5 technology. * Extensive programming experience in C# is a must. In addition, C++ is highly desirable. * Experience in developing scalable and distributed applications utilizing a combination of the following is a must. (Sockets, WCF, RESTful Web Services, ASP.NET, SOAP based Web Services) * Extensive experience in developing data driven applications utilizing significant relational and/or NoSQL database engines as part of the overall application architecture is a must ( experience in any or all of the following are highly desirable: MS-SQL Server, MongoDB) * Proficient in distributed caching such as Microsoft App Fabric is a must. * Extensive experience in distributed application development in using WCF, Sockets, ASP.NET, AJAX. * Working knowledge of protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, TLS, SAML, HTML5 is highly desirable. * Working knowledge of Windows 2008, Windows 2012, AWS features preferred.
