*Summary:*

The *Senior SQL Server Database Administrator* is responsible for database
engineering and administration. The Senior SQL Server Database
Administrator is responsible for working primarily with development and
operations teams.

• Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in consolidation and
migration of databases to new hardware and platforms.

• Senior DB Engineer/architect who can design, develop, and implement SQL
server solutions for complex projects, and have deep understanding of SQL
server security requirements.

• Provide technical expertise in all aspects of database implementation
life cycle from sizing, through capacity planning, design, and
implementation.

• Physical implementation of databases, storage structures,
high-availability solutions, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Provide inputs in defining database standards and best practices for
advanced monitoring and troubleshooting, performance tuning and automation

• Various technologies within *SQL Server: Data Mirroring/Replication,
SSIS. Configuration of SSRS and SSAS*

• SQL Server performance monitoring and troubleshooting

• *SQL Server Scripting skill*

• Recommend, implement, and maintain best practices and corporate
standards.

• Backup and recovery processes for all SQL Server databases

• Work as a team member and individually

• Troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution

• Fulfill ad hoc query and report requests



Skills Required

• Experience with multi 500+ GB databases

• SQL Server performance tuning

• Strong skills in database performance analysis and tuning

• Team player with strong communication skills



Experience Required

• *5+ years* of Microsoft *SQL Server DBA* experience

• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above



Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
