This position writes moderate to complex code and designs and assists with the configuration of the environment in which the hardware, network and software resides. *Primary Responsibilities* · Develop integration workflows using WebSphere Message Broker to transport data using WebSphere MQ Queues, SOAP Web Services and other means. · Transform data using WebSphere Transformation Extender, XSD transformations and InfoSphere DataStage ETL as the situation requires. · Develop complex integration flows that perform protocol and security mediation and implement well-know integration patterns such as aggregation, routing, publish-subscribe, collection, etc. · Perform file transfers using FTP, WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition and integrate into existing WebSphere Message Broker workflows and transformations. · Understand and interact with WebSphere Service Registry and Repository; store and receive Web Services definition language files both manually and programmatically. · Implement content and availability based routing using WSRR for all integration flows. · Understand the intricacies of handling XML, custom wire format and encrypted messages and files; validate data using XSDs. · Implement transaction management using databases and WebSphere MQ. · Configure and program to publish-subscribe topology in an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). · Understand how the WebSphere MQ API, channels, clusters and queue types (transient vs. persistent) and headers such as MQMD and queue types (JMS, etc.) influence integration flows. · Support the development of application integration code in object oriented languages. · Mentor, guide and educate less experienced engineers and other IT team members. · Recommend technical standards and governance guidelines for respective environments. · Manage complex assignments and potentially lead a team of system engineers. · Assist in the troubleshooting and diagnoses of highly complex technical environments, networks and operating systems. · Interact with architects, senior application developers as well as other relevant leaders. · Assist in the design of the Enterprise Service Bus technical environments/configuration and develop technical programs with a high degree of independence. · Lead the planning, design, integration and implementation of projects and applications for using the ESB. · Maintain working knowledge of all hardware and software settings required by the technical environment including proper configuration settings. · Develop scripts for backup/recovery, performance/diagnostics and set-up/administration of DEV, TEST, QA and PROD environments. · Diagnose and troubleshoot performance and/or configuration problems. · Understand performance implications of hardware/network/software environments. · Assist application teams in diagnosing and understanding technical application problems. · Design, code and test middleware components and/or application frameworks. · Support failover and clustered environments. · Set and observe all technical and architectural standards as previously developed. · Ensure team member adherence to all established architectural and technical standards. · Perform software pricing and/or product analysis as directed. · Respond to systems performance problems. · Build and maintain positive rapport and partnerships with peers and other relevant team members including IT operations and application development staff. · Perform other job-related duties as assigned. *Critical Competencies and Skills* People Merchant and Brand Business and Results · Builds Trusting & Loyal Relationships · Contributes to Team Success · Explains & Provides Feedback to Others · Communicates with Impact & Candor · Respects Individual Differences · Earns Customer Loyalty · Adapts to Change · Manages Work · Displays Business & Functional Acumen · Clarifies & Achieves Results *Minimum Qualifications* · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field;
