*Role : Security Admin* *Location : Washington,DC* Provides technical support to Systems Administrators, Data Base Administrators, Web Administrators and others in the field of Information Technology Security with an emphasis on Server protection and encompassing knowledge and related experience in disciplines like Operational System Administration, Database Management, Networking and Infrastructure Architecture. • Provides support to Systems Administrators with implementation, monitoring and compliance adherence to security standards and best practices operations in the Unix, Linux and Windows server environments. Closely integrates with them in enforcing adherence to institutional policies. • Select, implement and maintain a proper infrastructure providing services in the areas of log analysis, standards compliance, host based firewalls, network scanning, etc. • Perform technology watch on market trends in the field of Information Technology Security and advise management on benefits and disadvantages of related decisions and their impact to the business. Perform routine monitoring in order to evaluate compliance levels with published standards for selected servers and recommends changes whenever appropriate • Participate in Security Standards reviews and helps to define and implement best practices in order to maintain a safe and secure operating environment. • Assist with tracking and investigation (forensics) of possible security breaches, advising management of potential exposures and consequences. • Support audit initiatives and works closely with the office of the CISO in guiding ISG in matters of Information Technology Security. • Assist with the eventual evaluation of IT products or services from a Server Security standpoint. • Follow up on Problem Resolution tracking using the Remedy tool and uses the Security Incident system to report and track down major Security incidents in close association with the office of the CISO. • Produce and maintain appropriate documentation and charts describing hardware setups, diagrams, operational procedures and overall inventory. • Interact with software providers in enforcing adequate levels of support to the installed inventory. Discusses functionality and requirements that best meet the interests of ISG. • Produce daily and weekly reports of activities and operational status. • Follow and comply with WDBK’s IMS and ISMS policies, processes and procedures (familiar with ISO20000 and ISO24001). • Participate in audits, as needed, producing necessary documentation, reports and explanations. Implement corrective and preventive action plans approved by unit managers. *Educational Qualifications and Experience:* • Education: Bachelor degree • Role Specific Experience: At least 1 years of experience in the field of Information Technology Security with involvement in operations requiring for stringent uptime service levels *Required Skills/Abilities:* • Experience in Network Management and Security paradigms. • Experience with UNIX, Windows and Linux software configurations. • Relevant experience in environments supporting Databases (Oracle and Sybase), including intimacy with DB concepts and operations. • Problem analysis, systems analysis and user support. • Some exposure to Disaster/Recovery and system backup disciplines. • Practical experience with security tools (compliance monitoring, Scan Tools, IDS/IPS Systems, firewalls, etc.) and some exposure or knowledge of related technologies (PKI, SSO, Smart Cards, etc.) • Team player with strong technical and user support skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
