*Position: **AS/400 Designer* *Location: LA,CA* *Duration: **12 Months* Role AS/400 Designer Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills • 5+ years of experience in the field of AS/400 • 3+ years of experience with Integrations/Interfaces area • 2+ years of experience in leading team • Advanced SQL coding skills • Solid understanding of Data Modeling concepts • Technical team management experience • Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills • Supply Chain experience a plus Roles and responsibility ü Responsible for overall AS/400 design and standards ü Guide onshore and offshore Developers ü Work with the application development teams throughout the development life cycle ü Evaluate new Business Intelligence technologies, features, and products ü Lead or participate in Proof-of-Concept projects ü Stay current with emerging industry trends ü Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks ü Create Detail design document based on the business requirement ü Create/Update BI architecture as per the requirements ü Create/Update reports, dynamic dashboards as per the requirements ü Good written and oral communication ü Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions ü SQL knowledge and performance tuning experience needed Desirable Technical / Functional Skills Work with different teams – Business, Solutions – BI, Portal and team of Architects to create overall BI user interface, Implement AS/400 solutions with complete considerations on Infrastructure capability, performance, supportability to achieve end user business results.
