Participate in all phases of the software development cycle. The resource will be responsible for software engineering for new and existing products and works with the entire project team to ensure development conforms to performance optimization and interoperability standards and requirements. Working with DOT staff, this individual will: Plan: Assist solution architects in translating requirements into technical specifications and data models for assigned project and work efforts. Consult with IT staff on incorporating new technology standards into project. Implement: Design, code, test, and implement complex SOA-based solutions; develop appropriate documentation according to established standards for assigned project and work efforts. Track: Periodically meet with the project team to assess project requirements and the impact of change requests on project delivery timeline for assigned projects. Maintain: Plan, schedule, and conduct decision support systems tests; monitor test results, and take required corrective action for assigned project.
