The .NET Software Engineer designs and develops web applications and associated web services in support of client's Remote Electronic Access Control solutions. The position involves working in the UI, core app, and database areas. Need US Citizens Only Responsibilities Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Designs formal software requirements from customer/market level requirements Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate/develop interfaces between hardware and software Designs software within operational and performance requirements of overall system Responsible for reviews of all software project phases (Development requirements, Test requirements, Code) Understands how to insert new code into software build and follows proper procedures Works with Software QA to resolve issues to ensure testing can continue Qualifications A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts Experience in database, web design, API and web services development As new technologies emerge and impact our systems, expected to learn new technologies and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies with our systems Expert knowledge of software engineering design methods and techniques, specifically Agile development methodology Experience and knowledge with .NET Framework and Visual Studio Experience and knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems System Engineering ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures Able to look at a problem and develop multiple solution approaches Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated system thinking and experience required Working knowledge of security and encryption preferable but not mandatory Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer Engineering discipline from four-year college or university, plus 9 10 years related experience.
