The BI Architect \ Specialist will be the primary source of expertise for Microsoft Business Intelligence and visualization within a larger team of information, warehouse architects*. They will take full ownership of Microsoft BI stack including Power Pivot, Power View and integration with Excel and SharePoint. They will take *primary responsibility for the SSAS and SSAS Tabular data layers*. *Specific responsibilities:* - Subject matter expert in Microsoft Business Intelligence toolset will provide strategic advice to the GIS management team. - Collaborate with the business owners, warehouse architects to design robust well integrated Business Intelligence solutions. - Architect the Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions utilizing MS SQL Server 2012 SSAS, SSRS, Power Pivot, Power View, and integration with Excel and SharePoint. - Oversee the development of Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions by third parties, both mentoring and ensuring that robust standards are maintained. - Develop and manage the BI presentation layer communication tools and documentation. - Collaborate with the Sharepoint & Infrastructure Architects to define and configure Microsoft Business Intelligence tools within the Sharepoint infrastructure. - Collaborate with the Security Architects to design and implement robust security principles within the Microsoft Business Intelligence framework. - Understand and promote data visualization techniques to the business community *Experience/Skills Required:* - 9-10+ years of experience architecting, developing and/or managing the implementation of Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Excel utilizing experience with Microsoft OLAP. - Experience in identifying, analyzing and translating business requirements and rules into intuitive analytical solutions, business scorecards and management dashboards - Understanding of Business Intelligence solutions: operational and analytical, strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures - Expertise in the Microsoft BI solution offerings including SQL Server 2012 stack PowerView, PowerPivot, SharePoint, Excel Web Apps, Reporting Services, Performance Point Services, and Native Excel - Exposure to the SQL Server 2014, particularly the in-memory capabilities - Significant experience using complex SSAS capabilities, such as cube level calculations including scope statements, Measure Groups, Partitioning and complex calculated hierarchies - Strong understanding of multidimensional database design and architecture - Experience of SQL Server Tabular Model and it’s capabilities with respect to SQL Server SSAS. - Excellent data analysis skills using SQL - Strong understanding of SharePoint Business Intelligence Architecture - Strong analytical skills and an ability to present and communicate data, trends, insights and recommendations - Experience developing visualizations in conjunction with the business users, perhaps in a workshop environment - Experience in fitment analysis on SharePoint BI Offerings - Experience in Kerberos and Kerberos constraint delegation - Strong communication skills both verbal and written - Experience in delivering quality work on time with multiple, competing priorities - Experience in working well with others on the team to design and maintain corporate data architecture, meet project milestones, manage client satisfaction and mentor others within the larger team *Additional Experience/Skills Desired: * - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to execute effectively on the agreed upon decisions - Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision - Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or related discipline preferred - Experience working in the insurance industry desired but not absolutely required Regards Ashish Gupta 1351 McCarthy Boulevard, Suit 116, Milpitas, CA, USA, 95035 *Phone* : 408-457-9381 Ext 4103 *Yahoo, Hangouts* : ashish.recruiter12 *Email* : ashish.gu...@idctechnologies.com *URL* : WWW.idctechnologies.com <http://www.idctechnologies.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
