We have a requirement for a Database Administrator.
We have an URGENT requirement for a Senior Database Administrator.
Position: Sr. Database Administrator
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Raleigh, NC
**NOTE: We are looking for an extremely competitive rate. Please include
the rate with your submission.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The Database Administrator will provide:
· Data analysis and database management, maintenance, enhancement,
designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and
performance tuning, as well as logical administration of application
objects within database;
· Maintain business requirements for database, database schema,
data maps, ERDs, application objects (i.e., tables, indexes, views, etc.);
· Perform database application tuning; provision of business and
data requirements and data for capacity planning.
· Responsible for physical environment-level administration;
· Responsible for installation/patch/upgrade of database software;
· Management of HA, database-level security;
· Maintain database configuration files and data files;
· Provide completion of database reorganizations, environment
tuning, refreshes, exports and imports, backup and recovery;
· Perform capacity planning driven by technology and resource usage
trends.
· Expected to be able to work without assistance;
· Provide limited leadership to others and able to manage medium
complexity work efforts.
Required Skills (Minimum of 5 Years of experience in EACH of the following):
· Experience with data analysis and database management,
maintenance, and enhancement.
Experience designing data dictionaries, physical and logical database
models.
Experience with performance tuning and logical administration of
application objects within the database.
Experience maintaining business requirements for database, database schema,
data maps, ERDs, and application objects (i.e., tables, indexes, views.
Experience performing database application tuning and providing business
and data requirements and data for capacity planning.
Able to work without assistance and able to manage medium complexity work
efforts.
Oracle Database experience, version 10g or newer
