We have a requirement for a SQL Server Database Administrator..
We have a requirement for a SQL Server Database Administrator.
Position: SQL Server Database Administrator
Duration: 2+ months, extendible
Location: Columbia, SC
Duties
· Design, build, implement, secure and maintain databases for
development, test and production environments.
· Work with team to identify and analyze performance bottlenecks
and recommend solutions.
· Write and modify scripts & stored procedures (e.g.: SQL, PHP) for
database access or reporting.
· Ability to efficiently problem solve and analyze a variety of
problems, assess risks and implement solutions while adhering to security
standards.
· Participate in cross-training activities to achieve a comfort
level supporting data collection servers, as well as cross-train other team
members on DBA responsibilities.
· Work with cross-functional teams to support customer requests as
appropriate.
· Other database duties as assigned.
· Report progress weekly to management and project manager.
Required Skills:
· Backup/recovery; 4-6 yrs
· Database Upgrades; 2-4 yrs
· Load (ETL) tools; 4-6 yrs
· Load Balancing; 4-6 yrs
· MS SQL Server 2008 R2; 4-6 yrs
· MS SQL Server 2012; 4-6 yrs
· SQL Server Analysis Services ( SSAS) ; 2-4 yrs
· SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ; 4-6
· SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) ; 2-4 yrs
· SQL Tuning; 4-6 yrs
· Understanding of database scalability and operations; 4-6 yrs
