Role: Sr Java Developer Duration: About 24 months Location: Brooklyn, NY Only Local Candidates with GC/EAD-GC/USC Job Description: The SQL and Java Developer will be responsible for the design, development, enhancing and testing of a web application using data from a MySQL database. The web application will be used to store vital information collected from various sources and generate customized reports to thousands of users based of their roles. Responsibilities: · Works directly with business users to translate business needs into a web based application · Develops and implements phases of the system development life cycle, including conceptual design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation enhancements and troubleshooting of applications. · Analyzes, designs and develops code for all application tiers, as needed. · Designs database tables utilizing import and export data from MySQL Servers into other data sources on an as needed basis through the development and coding of stored procedures and triggers, as needed. · Analyze requirements and data access needs and propose file and screen designs. Deploys the applications to multiple environments, from development through Quality Assurance, Staging and Production, and conduct unit and integration testing. · Design and develop complex user interfaces. · Prepares technical design documents, performs code reviews, debugging and testing. Qualification Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of applicable work experience. At least 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Developer or Technical Team Lead. · Experience using LINUX OS as a production platform. · Experience using Apache HTTP Server to host a webpage. · Experience using Oracle GlassFish to host an application. · Experience in transactional and dimensional database design. · Experience developing SQL Server Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers using MySQL. Experience creating a web based application using Java Enterprise Edition: EJB, Servlets, JSP, JPA · (EclipseLink), MVC Design Pattern, CSS, HTML. · Ability to set up and administer web & application servers · System Analysis Skills. · Strong verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and business audiences.
