*Position:* Senior Middleware Engineer *Duration:* 1 year+, long term contract *Location:* *Baltimore MD* *Skills: WebLogic, WebSphere* *Technical Landscape:* IBM WebSphere (currently v6 moving to v8), Oracle WebLogic v10/11, IBM MQSeries, Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, Talend, Windows, Linux *Responsibilities:* - Daily Operations and Project support, including Deployments, Patching and Upgrades - Ensuring monitoring, alerting and reporting on all IT Platforms - Ability to identify operational bottlenecks, performance and security issues and other caps in core platform and give valuable input to mitigate - Evaluate new platform features and provide input to operational middleware design - On call support in a 24/7 environment *Requirements:* - 5+ years’ experience engineering and administering large scale Middleware environments - Extensive experience with WebSphere and WebLogic - PowerShell and/or Shell scripting - Willingness to dive deep into emerging state-of-the-art technologies. - Experience with monitoring systems. - Ability to help automate processes through Middleware stack - Exceptional organizational skills - Databases and Business Objects a huge plus. - Propensity to learn on the fly and pick up things quickly.
