Job Title: Hadoop DBA Location: Brunswick, NJ & Charlotte, NC Duration: 6 months No. of positions: 4 Experience level – 4-6 years on Hadoop Job Description: • Hadoop - Deep Hadoop & HDFS understanding • Hadoop Cluster - Able to deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, figure out why a job is stuck or failing, configure and tune the cluster, find the bottlenecks, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure name-node high availability, pick a scheduler and configure it to meet SLAs, and sometimes even take backups. • Linux - Good knowledge of Linux - Linux security, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
