Role: *UNIX - AIX Administrator* Location : *Loveland, CO, USA(on site)* Duration: *6 months+* *Need visa copy and photo id during submission* *Role Name*: UNIX - AIX Administrator Reporting to the Team Lead, Hosting Services, we are currently recruiting for a UNIX/AIX Systems Administrator. Responsibilities: • Configure, manage and administer various AIX systems for production and development environments that require 24/7 accessibility. • Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and vulnerabilities. • Operational support and maintenance of UNIX/AIX systems. • Monitoring and managing performance, capacity and security on the AIX environment. • Providing after-hours emergency response (on-call rotation). • Update documentation of architecture and procedures. • Work with minimal supervision, while executing a number of time critical actions in support of daily production schedules. • Working with Application groups to assist in the creation of scripts for automation of tasks. • Working closely with application teams to understand the business functions related to the technologies deployed. • Acting upon and responding to work assignment via ticketing system. Qualifications: • 5 – 10 years of combined UNIX and AIX administration experience including hands-on understanding of LPAR, VIOS and HMC. • Ability to document and update existing documentation. • Experience working with clustered AIX environments. • Experience administering UNIX/AIX environments for ERP applications such as PeopleSoft or SAP is an asset. • Strong skillset in performance monitoring, capacity planning and providing continual maintenance and improvements to the overall architecture. • Proven ability to analyse and solve a wide range of technical problems. • Experience with scripting and automation. • Experience with and understanding of storage systems/SANs would be considered a strong asset. • Must be able to work independently, to identify and prioritize workload, and interact with team members working in another location. • Excellent communication skills. • Experience with IBM Power Systems and IBM ILMT utilities for sub-capacity/licensing reporting a plus. *Thanks * *Wasim AhmedUnited Software Group Inc.. 565 Metro Place South.
