They have their own ETL tool called ESP but it is most like Data Stage. 2.) MUST HAVE experience creating UNIX Shell scripting- they will be using this for manipulation of the data, and pulling data within the warehouse 3.) Oracle database experience- this is very important. They need to have heavy data warehouse experience (they use Oracle as the warehouse. They need to be able to create performance views, tables, and as the data grows, create groups by logic, building many reports out of data and complex views. Job Description: is looking to bring on ETL Developers with some data modeling experience to their team. These individuals will be working within the ORI group (Office of Risk and Regulated Technologies). The purpose of on boarding these resources is due to the fact that the client recently (in April) failed a part of the Dodd Frank regulation (amongst 5 other banks)- US Living Will. The project is that the client is starting to correct this is called RRP-Recovery and Resolution Plan. The goal of living will is to ensure that if the bank needs to be dissolved and they need to liquidate, they will be able to sell off parts of the bank and ensure the clients can still run and most importantly to ensure that due to the client being a systemic bank (important financial institution (SIFI) is a bank, insurance company, or other financial institution whose failure might trigger a financial crisis.) that if something were to happen they would not create a financial crisis. The client currently prices 60% of the mutual funds on wall street every night. The client will have until Oct. 1 to rewrite the plans -- but under the pressure that another failure would give regulators power to subject them to more capital or liquidity constraints on their businesses. Due to this, they will need to do a complete overhaul of their recovery plan. They will be going through efforts to identify critical services and offerings. They will first have to identify critical services, applications, people, macros, building and facilities, vendors etc to keep those services running. This is a very large under taking as there is an extensive amount of this data stored in excel documents and various other data components. They are looking to on board these ETL Developers to help construct the centralized data warehouse which will store all of this RRP data which many other systems will pull from. This will be the master data distribution hub for RRP. The client has their own ETL tool which is similar to Data stage.
