*Cloud Solution Architect (CSA)*
*Summary*
Working in a team environment as a member of the Enterprise Architecture
team, the *CSA *will be responsible for providing technology consulting to
internal project teams, including Security Architects, Infrastructure
Architects, and Application Architects. Initially the focus of this role is
deploying new development efforts to Microsoft Azure. The Architect will
be responsible for providing technical leadership, guidance, and/or support
in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet
business needs in the Azure Cloud, integrating with other corporate systems
deployed in other clouds.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles, success
leading deep technical architecture and application design discussions with
teams including senior management to drive cloud implementations.
*Roles & Responsibilities*
- This position reports to and is accountable to the Sr. Mgr. Enterprise
Architecture.
- Provide technical guidance to enable applications in the Microsoft
Azure cloud platform within the project objectives across the project life
cycle.
- Recommend best practices, guidelines, standards, strategies, and
principles.
- Facilitates knowledge sharing of cloud technologies and techniques
within the community (e.g. team or project).
- Partner with Architecture Review Board on designing and planning a
cloud solution architecture that meets business requirements; technical
requirements - high availability and failover, elasticity, scalability, and
security; integration with on-premises environments and existing systems;
and ensures operations readiness and reliability.
- Mentor others and effectively assist them.
- Envision and propose future solutions, strategies, and roadmaps.
*Qualifications:*
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years of demonstrated proficiency in IT development and delivery.
- 5+ years in an architecture leadership or technical leadership role.
- 3+ years of hands on cloud infrastructure experience.
- Expert knowledge in Cloud solutions (Public, Private, Hybrid).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Azure.
- Advanced knowledge of at least two in the following technology areas:
- Core infrastructure, virtualization and systems
- Network and security
- Mobility and Mobile Applications
- Identity management
- Systems Operations / Management.
- Strong communication skills to articulate strategic recommendations to
Executive Management, Architects, and Development Partners - driving
decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through.
· Strong knowledge of Dev/Ops technologies and processes related to
cloud solutions.
· Familiarity with Information Security and Compliance requirements
such as Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and global Data
Privacy.
· Implementation experience with enterprise security packages,
identity management, and federation systems in Windows Azure.
*Certifications*
- *Azure required,* AWS, Google or vCloud Air certifications would be a
plus.
- Current MSCE/MCITP preferred, MCITP in Messaging and/or Server
preferred.
- Certification in one or more IT Security disciplines is preferred;
CISSP or CISA.
- Certification in one or more networking technologies is preferred.
(CCSP, Checkpoint, etc.)
