*Job Title: Business Analyst III (27274 – 1)* *Location: Philadelphia, PA* *Duration: 10 months* *Must be Visa copy and DL* *Must be 9-10 years exp...* Maintain a working knowledge of system interaction to ensure success in overall architectural solution. o Act as the application historian and researcher who analyzes and proposes solutions to complex problems o Perform Technical Analysis/Preliminary Testing/Onboarding of new services to be consumed o Identify risks and work with Product Owner to optimize success o Contribute in elevating the team members' performance by increasing their product knowledge • Work with Product Owner to prioritize / maintain the backlog o Manage ownership of epics and user stories o Drive requirements definition and discussion o Develop and communicate detailed requirements o Reduce cost and time to market by clarifying scope and preventing waste. o Serve as the stakeholder's representative and advocate o Propose and implement workflow process improvements o Work with Software Developers to support design and development, as required o Perform user story Grooming with Team • Liaise between the stakeholders, user community, and internal Software Developers to define system solutions o Provide subject matter expert and operational support to internal business partners o Facilitate information transfer and communication between teams to optimize decisions • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Experience in cable and telecommunications technologies specifically cloud / IP video delivery • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • 4-5 years related experience in software development performing system analysis and requirements elicitation • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and collaborate across all levels of an organization • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Java knowledge is an added plus Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. May make recommendations for buy versus build decision. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
