*C++ Developer for a 12+ month contract*!!! *Comments* PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE LOCATION OF THIS POSITION IS THE LEJUENE/FLAGLER OFFICE. *Size of Team: 12* * * *What is the role of this position and the actual work to be performed? * * * Immediate need for two Software Engineers at the LFO location in Miami. One person is needed immediately and the second in late October. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform advanced engineering tasks of multiple complexities associated with projects and support of the DMS (data management system). 2. Design, review and implement technical changes that improve the reliability & availability of the DMS 3. Participate in studies to determine the costs, benefits and impact of proposed system changes to the DMS. 4. Perform feasibility and functional impact studies and integration of proposed system changes to the DMS. 5. Investigate, develop and implement solutions to problems which impact the reliability of the DMS. 6. Review plans and schedules of activities required to insure the timely implementation of assigned DMS projects. 7. Develop and train less experienced engineers assigned to the same task. Education and Experience: A Bachelors Degree in Engineering; or a Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science-related field with minimum three years experience in Power System Control Centers A Masters Degree in Engineering is preferred Knowledge of SCADA/EMS/DMS computer system applications (e, g., State Estimator, DTS, and SCADA) or infrastructure (e. g., database administration, Cyber security and networking) Proficient in C, C++.
