*Job Overview:*
*Position Summary *
O Development, management and organizational technical support for all SQL
Server environments {Development (DEV), Test (QA), Staging (STAGE), and
Production (PROD)}.
O Assist in any disaster recovery operations.
O Work with applications, technical support and operations teams during the
design, development and implementation of service requests.
O Assist in the development, management, and organization of SQL server
systems. Assist with the enhancement of applications and services.
O Assist in other SQL server database administration related duties as
directed by management. Troubleshoot SQL server service outages as they
occur,-including after-hours and weekends.
O Install and configure new SQL server environments as requests or received
using Best Practices documents.
O Deploy SQL server changes as requested following Change Management
procedures.
O Implement and validate the most effective way to resolve any issue
including hardware, software and environment configuration changes.
O Analyze and implement the most current SQL server patches. Comply with
policies, standards, and best practices and assist in enforcement by
notifying the Delivery Manager of deviations.
O Communicate with internal teams on operational support issues by
attending meetings, providing input and recommendations, analysis and
findings
O Contractor shall provide weekly status reports using template to include
hours for each task performed for SQL database administration services.
Microsoft SQL Database Administration Upgrade to SQL Server v2016:
O Design and guide implementation of upgrade for all current SQL server
environments to SQL server v2016.
O Contractor will be responsible for routine system maintenance to include:
1.Optimization;
2.Stabilization;
3.System Analysis;
4.Security and;
5.Deployments
Contractor will also be responsible to stand up new infrastructures to
include: Design, Modification, Updates, Architecture, Diagrams and Change
Requests.
*Requirements *
The consultant must meet the following requirements:
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related or engineering field
from an accredited college or university and it will be verified during the
employment screening process.
Five years of experience in electronic data processing systems study,
design, and programming and at least three (3) years of that experience
must have been in a lead capacity.
Five years' experience in successfully administrating Microsoft SQL Server
2012+ in PROD environments.
