*12 Months* *Need local (F2F Interview Required)* *Description:* The *Product Specialist* is an expert programmer/developer for a set of products or applications critical to the services provided by DOE. Please note, this position is expected to be an ongoing role for at least the next fiscal year. The Delaware Department of Education is seeking a dynamic Software Developer/Product Specialist to join an exciting work environment that develops and supports 50+ active applications statewide. Departmental applications provide a wide array of educational information including fiscal, personnel, and student data for federal/state reporting, internal departmental functions, and general public consumption. The workgroup also coordinates data collection/governance activities within the Department of Education that improve the quality of educational decision making by providing accurate and timely information, improving the quality of reporting mechanisms, and providing user friendly access to information systems. The successful candidate for this position must be highly motivated, technically capable, and possess the ability to deliver products on-time. They are expected to be a functional team member in an Agile Project Management environment using Scrum methodologies.
